Photography, for me, is a way in which to hold sweet moments and spaces. A way to extend time and cherish the ever more ephemeral moments of my life.

I work carefully with composition, yet always leave room to intuitively adapt to the circumstances that arise. I am after a quirkiness that shows the absurdities of life.

Having preserved these memories in an image, they become my personal archive that I use as a departure point for my paintings. In the form of a painting I further extend the life of each moment, and continue to depict the intimacy of life.
